Job Summary
Coordinate crew, equipment, and supplies; supervise crew performance; plan and execute the assigned work in a safe and professional manner; organize job assignments for efficiency; communicate with private property owners about access and permissions; ensure PPE and safety practices; trim/remove trees using ladders, powered trimmers, or ground methods; apply herbicides as needed; load/unload trucks, operate a chipper, and manage materials; conduct daily inspections, briefings, and record-keeping; travel for storm restoration as required; comply with I-9 and E-Verify; participate in safety trainings and certifications; benefits include health insurance and 401K; AI usage in recruiting process is noted.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or education equivalent preferred
- Must have and maintain a Driver’s License
- Must be able to meet and demonstrate qualifications of all positions on a crew
- Must be able to follow verbal or written directives
- Must be able to delegate work and take accountability for the performance of a crew
- Must be able to understand drawings and symbols representing lines, voltages, line equipment, etc.
- Must be able to adjust to field requirements and taking independent action without close supervision
- Must be able to operate and service all required tools and equipment
- Must be able to travel out of town for storm restoration work when needed
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen as required for this job
