Job Summary
Direct crew members, manage equipment, and execute vegetation management tasks safely according to contract specifications. Plan, assign, and supervise daily operations for aerial bucket truck crews, ensuring OSHA compliance and proper job setup. Perform daily reporting via the AMS system to submit timesheets and billing information while maintaining accurate records of time, equipment, and materials used. Notify property owners of on-site presence, obtain permission for tree trimming or herbicide application, and address access or power interruption issues. Oversee equipment usage and cleanup, ensuring all supplies remain secure on the truck. Maintain above-standard customer relations and take accountability for crew performance. Requires three years in vegetation management, a valid driver's license, and ability to work independently in the field.
Required Qualifications
- Three years' experience in Vegetation Management
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Meets and demonstrates qualifications of all positions on a crew
- Ability to read and understand contract requirements
- Knowledge of botanical and common names of trees and plants
- Experience in safe operations and maintenance of vehicles and equipment
- Able to adjust to field requirements and take independent action without close supervision
- Possess a valid driver's license and clean MVR
- Must meet I-9 requirements
- Position requires employee to be able to pass a background check and drug screen as required for this job
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in electric utility vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical, or military industries
- Knowledge of roping techniques
- Good knot tying fundamentals
