Job Summary
Coordinate crew members, equipment, tools, and supplies to complete vegetation management jobs according to contract specifications. Direct daily operations of aerial bucket trucks, assign specific tasks, and ensure OSHA requirements are met while trimming limbs or removing trees interfering with powerline clearance. Manage property owner notifications, obtain necessary permissions for tree removal or herbicide application, and maintain above-standard customer relations. Submit daily reports via the AMS system for timesheets and billing, oversee equipment usage and cleanup, and keep accurate records of time and materials. Maintain safety standards, assist in personnel management, and possess a valid driver's license with a clean MVR. This full-time role at Xylem Tree Experts and Kendall Vegetation Services includes health, vision, and dental benefits, plus a 401K option.
Required Qualifications
- Three years' experience in Vegetation Management
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Meets and demonstrates qualifications of all positions on a crew
- Ability to read and understand contract requirements
- Knowledge of botanical and common names of trees and plants
- Experience in safe operations and maintenance of vehicles and equipment
- Able to adjust to field requirements and take independent action without close supervision
- Possess a valid driver's license and clean MVR
- Must meet I-9 requirements

Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in electric utility vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical, or military industries preferred
- Knowledge of roping techniques and good knot tying fundamentals preferred
