Job Summary
Lead a crew to various job sites throughout the week, ensuring jobs are completed right, on time, and safely. Direct crew members and equipment while planning and executing assigned tasks, including pruning, thinning, removing deadwood, installing cable systems, and removing hazardous trees. Supervise the maintenance and operation of hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts. Provide expert tree trimming services and inspections to client properties while managing customer service expectations. Mentor newer team members to develop their understanding of the arboriculture profession. Maintain Davey and industry safety policies and procedures. Full-time year-round employment at $25-$35/hour.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience as an Arborist
- ISA certification or certificate of enrollment in an arboriculture program or equivalent
- Valid provincial driver's license
- Licensed to drive a 5-ton vehicle and air brake endorsement
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- The ability to understand and safely direct a team on the process of safely ascending tree canopies at all heights
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs
