Job Summary
Develop custom forensic scripts to automate data extraction, parsing, and analysis tasks. Collaborate with analysts to identify scripting needs, optimize existing code, and maintain script libraries while ensuring compliance with legal standards. Troubleshoot technical issues and interpret log files and system data using Python or PowerShell. Integrate solutions with enterprise forensic systems and apply best practices for digital evidence handling.
Required Qualifications
- TS/SCI Full Poly
- Full U.S. Citizenship
- Bachelor's Degree
- Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Science, Criminal Justice with a focus on Cybercrime, Network Security, Computer Engineering
- 4-5 years experience in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree
- 4-5 years experience credit for a Bachelor's Degree
- 2 years experience credit for a Master's Degree
- Proficiency in Python or PowerShell
- Knowledge of forensic tools (e.g., EnCase, FTK)
- Familiarity with file system structures and data recovery techniques
- Experience with data acquisition from various sources
- Understanding of digital evidence handling best practices
- Ability to analyze and interpret log files and system data
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with malware analysis tools
- Knowledge of network forensics and packet analysis
- Familiarity with reverse engineering techniques
- Experience with memory analysis and forensics
- Understanding of cloud-based forensics
- Ability to integrate scripts with enterprise forensic systems
