Forensics Risk & Compliance Intern

Job Summary
Conduct background research, perform basic data analysis and visualization, and support forensic investigations including evidence gathering, documentation, and drafting interview notes. Assist in developing audit work programs, walkthrough documentation, and testing procedures while participating in internal audit fieldwork to prepare working papers. Draft proposals and thought leadership initiatives to support business development strategies. Manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision in a complex environment, maintaining strict confidentiality and ethical integrity. This internship offers recent graduates hands-on experience in compliance program execution and risk mitigation within a leading East African law firm.
Desired Qualifications
- Recently completed a bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business, Engineering, IT, BBIT, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of data analytics tools is an added advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work accurately with minimal supervision, manage multiple and shifting priorities, and consistently meet deadlines in a complex and demanding environment.
- Ability to develop creative ideas and transform them into practical reality.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- The ability to build and maintain highly effective working relationships with a range of people (both internally and externally) in a professional manner.
