Job Summary
Investigate and evaluate the cause of damage following storms, disasters, and accidents as a Forensic Structural Engineer. Responsibilities include working independently and with a team, performing physical tasks, and providing top-notch customer service. Requires a Bachelor’s in Civil/Structural Engineering, a licensed P.E. in Ohio, and a minimum of 2 years of forensic experience. Strong writing and communication skills needed, with a preference for additional experience as an Expert Witness.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed P.E. in OH or eligible by reciprocity.
- 2 years of forensic experience required.
- 5-10 years of forensic engineering experience preferred.
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the job, including working in confined spaces and on roofs.
- Ability to travel locally, regionally, and nationally.
- Strong technical writing skills and verbal communication skills.
- Technical proficiency with computers, phones, cameras, etc.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship or any restrictions.
Desired Qualifications
- Expert Witness experience is preferred.
- Master of Science Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering is desirable.
