Job Summary
Investigate and evaluate the cause and extent of damage from storms, natural disasters, fires/explosions, and other incidents as a Forensic Structural Engineer. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university, with a Master's preferred. Licensed P.E. in CO or eligible by reciprocity is essential. 2 years of forensic engineering experience is required, with 5-10 years preferred. Strong technical and communication skills are crucial, along with the ability to travel as necessary. Must provide exceptional customer service and work independently or as part of a team.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed P.E. in CO or eligible by reciprocity.
- 5-10 years of forensic engineering experience preferred, 2 years required.
- Must be willing and able to perform physical requirements of the job, including working in confined spaces and on roofs.
- Ability to travel locally, regionally, and nationally as needed by vehicle or by plane.
- Ability to work independently and with a cross-functional team of experts.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service to clients.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship or any restrictions.
Desired Qualifications
- Expert Witness experience is preferred.
- Strong technical writing skills are required.
- Strong verbal communication skills are necessary.
- Technical proficiency with computers, phones, cameras, etc.
