Forensic Scientist

Perform toxicology testing on bloods, urines, and other specimens using instrumental and manual methods. Prepare and verify performance of new reagents, ensure calibrators and quality control samples are included in each batch, and record quality control values. Maintain equipment through routine maintenance and temperature checks, documenting results and notifying supervisors of unacceptable outcomes or instrument problems. Follow all written procedures, departmental SOPs, and company policies while completing assigned continuing education activities and competency verification checks. Adhere to the defined work schedule and maintain professional relationships with co-workers.
