Job Summary
Conduct independent forensic evaluations of parents and children for the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families, covering issues such as trauma, abuse, neglect, and parental capacity. Perform individual interviews, collateral contacts, and record reviews for both Child Trauma and Parental Capacity cases, including in-person visit observations and psychological testing. Prepare reports and provide court testimony or consultation as needed. Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, attending weekly clinical seminars and individual supervision, with flexible hours allowing remote work outside of team meetings and client appointments. Complete a minimum of twelve evaluations over a 12-month period while potentially supervising doctoral students.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed as a Psychologist
- Experienced in Psychological Testing – both Intellectual and Personality Batteries
- Experienced in working with children, adolescents, and/or parents
- Familiar with the Child Welfare System
- Knowledgeable about issues related to child adversity and maltreatment
- Able to collaborate effectively with co-workers, clients, and outside agencies
- Organized and possesses strong writing skills
- Committed to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
- Part-time (15-20 hrs. per week)
- Fee-for-service
- In-person participation at weekly team meetings
- Client appointments typically take place at the clinic
- Travel is required for visit observations related to Parental Capacity Evaluations
Desired Qualifications
- Psychologist with experience teaching and supervising intellectual and personality testing batteries
- Could assist in the training and supervising of 4th year doctoral students
- Bilingual language skills
