Forensic Nurse Examiner PRN

Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive medical-forensic exams for victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, child abuse, elder abuse, and human trafficking. Obtain consent, assess trauma with possible evidence collection, and document injuries with photographic support. Formulate and implement a plan of care while collaborating with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary team. Coordinate referrals for medical and psychological follow-up and provide courtroom testimony when required. Establish a compassionate environment by offering emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and their families. Work as a PRN nurse with alternating shifts available.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree Nursing / Patient Care
- Bachelor's Degree Nursing / Patient Care
- 2 years Nursing/Patient Care
- 1 year Emergency Services
- Registered Nurse (RN) - State Licensing Board Indiana or Illinois
- Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners Certification (SANE) - International Association of Forensic Nurses
- Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association
- Neonatal Intensive Care Certification (NIC) - National Certification Corporation (NCC)
- TRAVEL IS REQUIRED
