Job Summary
The Forensic Mortuary Technician I assists Mortuary Operations Supervisors in daily unit operations, performs decedent handling, operates the OCME Case Management System, prepares incident reports, ensures mortuary areas are maintained, and drives to death scenes for case recovery. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and one year of experience in mortuary/autopsy work. This role requires 24-hour availability during emergencies and adherence to unit policies.
Required Qualifications
- Four year high school diploma or its educational equivalent
- One year of full-time satisfactory experience in mortuary and/or autopsy work
Additional Requirements
- Authorization to work in the United States is required
