Job Summary
Investigate mechanical system failures in commercial, residential, and industrial settings by analyzing HVAC, plumbing, piping, boilers, chillers, water intrusion, and industrial machinery. Deliver comprehensive engineering analyses and provide expert opinions on complex failures to clients across diverse industries. Guide leadership on technical assignments while leveraging global networks to share insights and drive profitability through consulting services. Requires P.E. license in resident state and proficiency in root cause analysis for litigation support. Remote role with local or regional travel; candidate must reside within 150 miles of Charlotte, NC.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university
- Professional Engineer (PE) license, minimum required for resident state
- Expertise in commercial, residential, and industrial mechanical system failure analysis
- Proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, piping, boilers, chillers, water intrusion, industrial machinery
- Remote role requires working in a variety of environments
- Combination of travel (local or regional)
- Candidate reside within 150 miles of Charlotte, NC
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time
- Must be able to kneel, squat or bend
- Must be able to work outdoors in hot and/or cold weather conditions
- Have the ability to climb, crawl, stoop, kneel, reaching/working overhead
- Be able lift/carry up to 50 pounds
- Be able to push/pull up to 100 pounds
- Be able to drive up to 4 hours per day
