Job Summary
Forensic Engineer role in NYC metro focusing on structural engineering for steel, concrete, masonry, and timber systems. Responsibilities include advanced structural analysis using ETABS, SAP, SAFE, RAM, and RISA; designing and analyzing structural systems (steel braced/moment frames, concrete/masonry shear walls, concrete frames, post-tensioned concrete, light-frame timber); preparing calculations, detailing, and engineering reports; supporting construction administration; ensuring code compliance and seismic design; and testifying as an expert witness when needed. Requires PE license and strong knowledge of structural analysis, building code requirements, and seismic design; experience in preparing structural calculations, detailing, and engineering reports.
