Job Summary
Forensic Consultant needed at a multi-disciplinary architectural, engineering and construction firm in Palo Alto, CA. You will support Project Managers and Principals with construction investigations and inspections, reviewing design and construction documents, documenting site conditions, performing non-destructive and destructive testing, researching code requirements, preparing detailed reports and field notes, and inspecting remedial construction work for conformance with technical specifications. Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and experience with Adobe Acrobat/Bluebeam, Word, and Excel; 3+ years of related experience preferred; comfortable working outdoors up to 8 hours with exposure to ladders, scaffolding, and roofs. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in construction engineering, management, mechanical, civil, architectural engineering, or related discipline
- Trade or military backgrounds also considered
- Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat or Bluebeam, Microsoft Word, and Excel
- Basic understanding of commercial construction
- 3+ years of related experience preferred
- Comfort working outdoors up to 8 hours, including on ladders, scaffolding, and roofs
