Job Summary
Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and operational data to prepare business interruption, lost-profit, and extra-expense calculations. Conduct forensic accounting reviews to verify and validate losses while assisting clients in documenting and preparing insurance claims. Support litigation matters by drafting expert reports and financial schedules, then collaborate with adjusters, attorneys, and clients throughout the claim process to deliver accurate, defensible assessments. This role offers a salary range of $75,000 to $115,000 per year, plus a performance-based bonus, with full-time remote work in the U.S.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
- Strong Excel and financial modeling skills
- Excellent communication and report-writing abilities
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, forensic accounting, financial analysis, or insurance claims (preferred)
- Prior experience with business interruption or insurance claims is a strong plus
- CPA, CFE, CVA, MBA, or other advanced credentials
- Experience working with property damage or business interruption cases
