Job Summary
Lead crews in installation, repair, and maintenance of traffic signal and ITS systems along the west coast of Florida (Bradenton/Tampa Bay). Oversees troubleshooting and repair of traffic signals, fiber optics, CCTV, MVDS, and DMS signs; coordinates tasks with superintendents and project managers; ensures on-time, on-budget project delivery with a focus on safety and compliance. Requires leadership experience, ability to read plans, valid driver's license, DOT readiness, and preferred IMSA certifications.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalency
- Minimum 5 years of recent, verifiable experience as a Traffic Signal Technician, Lead or Supervisor Traffic Technician
- Experience leading field and construction crews
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, traffic signal plans/specifications and procedure manuals
- Must be able to move supplies and equipment up to 75 lbs
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam and drug test
- May be required to get bucket truck operator certification
- IMSA Level I or II Traffic Signal Technician Certification preferred
- IMSA Work Zone Safety Certification or equivalent (FDOT TTC) preferred
