Job Summary
Excavate trenches for water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer while installing trench boxes and operating equipment in compliance with safety policies. Ensure proper excavation and compaction procedures, perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance, and manage quality control and production. Train team members hands-on and demonstrate working knowledge of underground utilities. Manage quality control and production while performing other related duties as required. Requires valid driver's license, ability to work in confined spaces, and strong communication skills with clients.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to communicate directly with clients
- 1 year of experience or more with wet utility
- Must be able to operate large excavators with precision
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be able to work in confined spaces
- Ability to access secured facilities
- High attention to detail
- Must be physically fit to perform duties of the job in all types of environments and conditions, including heavy lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling (up to 50 lbs.)
- Regularly required to sit and stand, must be able to use hands to fingers, handle or feel and verbally communicate and listen
- Specific vision abilities required by the position include distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
