Job Summary
Oversee daily production operations of heavy industrial products for assigned work groups, manage hourly employees, and assign staff to workstations while approving time sheets and logs. Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures, protocols, and audits; coach employees on fit-up and welding processes to meet quality and quantity goals. Set production schedules based on equipment efficiency and quality metrics, manage all aspects of fit-up and welding for production bays, and assist in continuous improvement activities for material movement. Maintain high safety, quality, and productivity standards while achieving plant goals within budgeted costs. Work 6am-6:30pm Friday through Sunday with regular attendance.
Required Qualifications
- No less than 2 years of successful leadership experience demonstrated in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment
- Thorough knowledge of blueprints and layouts
- The high degree of dependability, maturity, and strong leadership characteristics as demonstrated through previous professional work experience
- Must be able to work 6am-6:30pm Friday through Sunday
- Regular and predictable attendance
- A great attitude
- An ability to work well with a team towards achieving a common goal
- Range of small to large forklift experience
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a metal fabrication or welding facility, specifically with flux and metal core welding
