Job Summary
Foreman to lead underground utility pipe crews on civil/sitework projects. Responsibilities include supervising and coordinating daily on-site activities, reading and interpreting construction drawings and utility plans, overseeing installation of storm drain, sanitary sewer, and waterlines, ensuring safety, managing production schedules, conducting daily safety meetings, mentoring crew members, and communicating with Superintendents, Project Managers, inspectors, and subcontractors. Requires hands-on experience installing underground utilities, ability to read drawings, and strong leadership and problem-solving skills; OSHA safety knowledge and heavy equipment experience are essential. CDL preferred but not required.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of underground utility/sitework experience
- Experience leading pipe crews as a Foreman or Lead
- Strong knowledge of underground utility installation methods and site development
- Ability to read blueprints, grades, and utility plans
- Experience working around heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, and trenching equipment
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and trench safety requirements
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
