Job Summary
Foreman responsible for pre-construction management, construction management, and post-construction activities on a commercial project. Lead scheduling and coordination with the Project Manager and subcontractors, develop and enforce Health, Safety and Environment plans, review contracts, manage site logistics, budgeting and scheduling, oversee commissioning and turnover plans, and maintain daily progress reporting. Requires leadership across multiple trades, proficiency with MS Project/Procore, strong communication, risk and quality management, and travel to site. Travel within Manitoba/Saskatchewan as directed; site-based supervision with a focus on delivering on time and within safety and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in construction management, engineering, or another relevant field preferred
- Certification of First Aid/CPR, WHMIS
- Possess valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
- 3+ years’ experience in the construction industry, preferably Commercial construction management
- Strong familiarity with contract administration, understanding drawings, specifications, architectural and engineering standards and building practices, including building codes
- Full understanding of mechanical and electrical installations, including commissioning and handover
- Excellent budgeting, costing, and scheduling skills
- Experience using MS Word, Outlook, MS Project, Electronic Document Management System, Procore
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing all disciplines, internal employees, and external sub-trades
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Travel to site will be required
