Job Summary

Lead the project labor crew on mechanical piping tasks, including process, stainless steel, ductile iron, carbon steel, PVC, HDPE, and buried utility piping. Coordinate installation sequencing, material staging, and layout coordination while ensuring work meets project requirements and company standards. Supervise daily activities, conduct quality checks, and support testing preparation for pressure testing and punch list work. Maintain accurate daily logs of work performed, manpower, and production progress. Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including PPE use and hazard reporting, across all crew members and subcontractors.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Trade school certificate, apprenticeship training, or equivalent mechanical piping experience
  • 5+ years of construction experience, with experience in process piping, mechanical piping, utility piping, or related field work
  • Experience with stainless steel piping, ductile iron piping, carbon steel piping, PVC piping, HDPE piping, buried utility piping, and pumping or process equipment connections
  • Experience coordinating installation of pipe, valves, fittings, hangers, supports, sleeves, penetrations, restraints, utility tie-ins, and equipment connections
  • Experience supporting piping installation, testing, inspection preparation, punch list completion, and corrective work
  • Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings, piping plans, isometrics, specifications, equipment layouts, and project schedules
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and basic project technology platforms
  • Ability to coordinate daily crew activities and communicate effectively with supervisors, subcontractors, vendors, and project teams
  • Strong understanding of jobsite safety expectations and safe work practices related to piping installation, excavation, material handling, hot work, rigging, and pressure testing

  • Experience with stainless steel piping, ductile iron piping, carbon steel piping, PVC piping, HDPE piping, buried utility piping, and pumping and process equipment connections
  • Experience coordinating installation of pipe, valves, fittings, hangers, supports, sleeves, penetrations, restraints, utility tie-ins, and equipment connections
  • Experience supporting piping installation, testing, inspection preparation, punch list completion, and corrective work
