Job Summary
Lead and supervise plumbing crews on-site, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to project schedules for commercial and project-based mechanical operations. Interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to install, repair, and maintain water supply lines, drainage systems, and associated equipment. Perform hydronic system retrofits, chiller replacements, and air handler installations, while sizing and installing natural gas distribution systems per code. Coordinate work with subcontractors and enforce safety protocols. Manage journeypersons and apprentices, maintaining a high standard of customer service. Requires Red Seal Certification, Gas B Ticket, and experience in remote northern locations.
Required Qualifications
- Red Seal Certification in Plumbing or Steam fitting
- Valid Gas B Ticket
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Foreman or supervisory role
- Proven experience managing prime contractor projects and working with multiple trades
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, industry standards, and local codes
- Valid AB Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Ability to manage and mentor journeypersons and apprentices
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy materials and equipment as required
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a team
- Willing to work shifts in remote locations
