Job Summary
Lead and supervise semi-skilled and skilled trades personnel in the Pipe department; break down strategies down to practical action plans; ensure training to improve quality and quantity of work; supervise and train employees to perform plans; ensure adherence to drawings, procedures, and safety standards; manage manufacturing, installation, operation, testing, and process operations with significant financial impact; supervise staff across shifts with focus on safety, quality, and cost; develop and implement training procedures and monitor budget and job performance; drive accountability through fairness, consistency, respectfulness, and transparency.
Required Qualifications
- BS/Apprentice OR High School and 4 years combined manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades, military experience
- Associate Degree in a Trade/Technical and 3 years of relevant manufacturing, shipbuilding, trade and/or military experience
- Internal candidates must have a Superior Attendance and Disciplinary Record
- Candidate cannot have more than 3 unexcused absences in the last 180 day period
- Candidate cannot have any safety DANS that result in a disciplinary layoff in last 180 day period
- Candidate cannot have more than 2 total DANS in the last 180 day period (excluding lost tool)
- Must be willing and able to work any shift assigned
