Job Summary
Coordinate project startup, execution, and close out by collaborating with superintendents and project managers. Direct and assign crew field activities to maximize productivity while maintaining safety standards and quality specifications. Utilize look-ahead schedules and manpower forecasts to optimize material, labor, and crew mix for assigned projects. Manage relationships with trades, vendors, and customers to ensure operational efficiency. Convey a professional attitude as the onsite representative of the branch and corporation while performing duties in a constant state of alertness. This safety-sensitive role offers on-the-job training for experienced foremen managing crews of 20+ craftsmen in the Austin, TX market.
Required Qualifications
- at least 5 years of experience in a Foreman/Supervisor role
- track record of successfully performing supervisory responsibilities
- strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Proficient in reading cold formed metal framing shop drawings
- Managed a crew size of 20+ craftsmen
- Understanding of wall framing limiting heights and UL assemblies
- Proficient in quality control
- Able to withstand prolonged periods standing and working outside
- Physically able to perform assigned tasks
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds at a time
- Local to the Austin or San Antonio metro areas
