Job Summary
Read technical guides, drawings, and specifications while operating carpentry tools safely and lifting up to 50lbs. Work at heights and in adverse weather conditions, managing a crew of journeymen and foremen on project-dependent sites. Maintain a minimum 40-hour weekly schedule with mandatory overtime during the April-October busy season. Hold a Journeyman Carpentry ticket, 2+ years of carpentry experience, and 2-5 years as a Foreman, alongside CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015 certifications. Fall Protection, rescue, and first aid training are assets.
Required Qualifications
- The ability to read and understand technical guides, drawings and specifications
- Manual dexterity and ability to use carpentry tools safely
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Comfortable working at heights
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
- Journeyman Carpentry ticket
- At least 2 years of carpentry or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 2-5 years of Foreman experience
- CSTS 2020
- WHMIS 2015
- Fall Protection & Rescue certification
- Aerial Platform certification
- Confined Spaces certification
- Rigging/Hoisting and Hand Signals certification
- First Aid/CPR certification
- A reliable means of transportation
- Proficient English language skills
- A successful pre-access drug and Alcohol test
Desired Qualifications
- Experience and Certification Requirements: Journeyman Carpentry ticket is required
