Job Summary
The Foreman is responsible for overseeing construction site operations, ensuring safety compliance, developing work schedules, and reporting project status to superiors. This role requires effective communication, conflict resolution skills, and the ability to delegate tasks to crew and contractors. Candidates must have experience in the heavy civil construction industry, knowledge of safety regulations, and a strong understanding of construction processes. The position demands flexibility for travel, working in various weather conditions, and adherence to drug testing policies.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Previous experience as a construction superintendent in heavy civil industry
- Knowledge of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction job sites
- Ability to communicate and report effectively
- In-depth understanding of construction operations and processes
- Understanding of use and maintenance of electrical and hydraulic systems
- Ability to delegate responsibilities
- Accountability and integrity are essential
- Willing to work in various weather conditions
- Must pass all required assessments/trainings
- Willing and able to travel to various job sites
- Available to work full-time (40hrs/wk.) subject to overtime, on-call (24/7)
Desired Qualifications
- Fluent in English; Spanish a plus
- High school diploma or certification in a skilled trade a plus
