Job Summary
Lead daily track maintenance crews by conducting briefings, delegating tasks, and performing inspections to ensure quality and safety standards. Operate and maintain heavy equipment while executing basic repairs such as rail swaps and switch components. Monitor job site hazards, enforce PPE compliance, and report deviations from work plans to project managers. Maintain accurate logs, timesheets, and documentation while training crew members on safety protocols and operational skills. Respond to emergencies and assist in incident resolution. This role supports ongoing talent pipeline efforts for future openings within our US Field Operations team.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 5 years' experience in the railroad industry/track maintenance
- minimum of 1 year of experience in a supervisory or management role
- Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to read blueprints and grade plans
- Knowledge of FRA regulations and track maintenance standards
- Proficient in basic computer applications
- Skilled in safe operation of tools and heavy equipment
- Professional demeanor, integrity, and reliability
- Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving job requirements
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions
