Job Summary
Foreman I leading and coordinating construction crews (ironworkers, welders, equipment operators) on steel erection and installation projects. Responsible for supervising activities, enforcing safety protocols, ensuring work is completed on time and within budget, conducting quality inspections, coordinating material delivery and equipment usage, and maintaining daily progress reports. Requires supervising and guiding crews, enforcing safety regulations, reading construction plans, and effective communication with project managers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to meet project milestones.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience in construction, with focus on steel erection and installation
- previous supervisory or leadership experience
- proficiency in reading construction plans, drawings, and specifications
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- understanding of safety regulations, standards, and quality requirements related to steel fabrication and erection
