Job Summary
Plan daily schedules for the custodial crew and assign specific duties to ensure contract specifications are met. Supervise workers to verify satisfactory performance, inspect assigned areas for completed work, and instruct staff on cleaning techniques, equipment use, and safety protocols. Adjust assignments for special tasks or absences, maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, and manage attendance records and time sheets. Resolve crew issues, coordinate with parents of differently-abled workers, and conduct weekly meetings to review industry updates. Perform corrective actions based on quality control results and facilitate daily safety training.
Required Qualifications
- Floor Care - stripping/refinishing floors and carpet shampooing
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to push/pull 50 pounds
- Must be able to climb
- Must be able to stoop
- Must be able to kneel
- Must be able to reach
- Must be able to speak
- Must be able to hear
- Good vision
- Depth perception
- Two (2) years of experience in custodial work
- One (1) year of supervisory experience
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to work flexible hours with some weekends and holidays
- Must pass security clearance
- Must successfully complete criminal history information background check
- Must pass drug screening
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Must follow Melwood transportation policies
- Must have liability insurance on personal vehicle in full force and effect
- Must be able to transport persons served using personal vehicle
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience with developmentally disabled individuals
