Job Summary
Lead a field crew sandblasting and painting elevated water towers using rigging, blast pots, and paint pumps while ensuring safety is the number one priority. Interpret specifications and drawings, communicate discrepancies to project managers, and present customer sign-off on documentation. Train new employees on safety equipment and procedures, conduct weekly toolbox meetings, and maintain all service equipment. Complete daily production paperwork, review timecards, and offer recommendations for equipment improvements. Work independently in unfavorable weather conditions, climb heights up to 200 feet, and perform in-person customer interactions.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive travel required
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in written form
- Intermediate computer skills
- Ability to climb to heights of 200 feet on a daily basis
- Majority of the time is spent in the field and will work in unfavorable weather conditions; both heat and cold
- Frequently required to sit, squat, talk and hear
- Constantly required to use hands and fingers to feel, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms
- Required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and walk
- Adhere to Maguire's PPE Policy and Safety Programs
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Specific vision abilities. Requires close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus
- Able to work at a sustained pace and produce quality work
- Ability to accept responsibility and account for own actions
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Five years of sandblasting and painting experience
- One year of foreman/supervisor experience
Desired Qualifications
- High School Graduate or GED preferred
