Job Summary
Supervise and coordinate daily crew activities by providing direction, tracking schedules, and communicating with superintendents and dispatchers to organize resources. Ensure forward planning for material ordering, subcontractor setup, and site testing while maintaining compliance with Mainland HSE and Quality Management System requirements. Communicate job progress to inspectors, attend production meetings, and manage inventory at project end. Provide daily training and mentorship to all crew members, ensuring accurate reporting of timesheets and work orders. Requires 5+ years of civil foreman experience, valid Class 5 license, and flexibility for weekend hours across the Lower Mainland.
Required Qualifications
- Must have related construction experience
- 5+ years of experience as a Lead Hand or Foreman with a solid understanding of all aspects of civil works - especially in pipe or road
- Must be able to communicate positively and effectively with a variety of individuals
- Strong mentoring and leadership skills - ability to coach and train all members of the crew while assisting them with responsibilities
- Experience with reviewing plans and applying the knowledge to the work
- Must be able to interact with professionalism and courtesy with all clients and members of the public
- Must be able to work outside in all types of weather, along with additional hours as needed (possibly weekends)
- Must possess a valid Class 5 Drivers License with satisfactory drivers abstract
- Will be required to go to job sites across the Lower Mainland
- Must be local to the Lower Mainland
- Flexibility with hours, including weekends if required
Desired Qualifications
- First aid, confined space, and fall protection training is an asset
