Job Summary
The Foreman supports the Superintendent/General Foreman in guiding field and site construction activities for commercial projects, including managing budget, schedule, subtrades, and profitability. Responsibilities include directing project tasks, coordinating information requests, planning manpower and materials, completing documentation, monitoring productivity, managing subcontractors to maintain timelines and scope, maximizing landfill waste diversion, and ensuring safety and compliance. Requires Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter certification, 2+ years supervisory experience in commercial/civil construction, blueprint reading/layout/materials estimation proficiency, WHMIS 2015, travel willingness, and strong communication skills. Interprovincial work may be required; in-town travel and out-of-town work are anticipated.
Required Qualifications
- Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter certification
- Commercial and Civil construction experience
- At least 2 years experience as a supervisor
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, layout, and materials estimation
- WHMIS 2015 (required)
- First Aid/CPR (preferred)
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
- Clear communication with superintendent, crew, and other stakeholders
- Adaptability and solid time-management skills
- Travel required
- Able and willing to work out of town
