Job Summary
Direct a crew in providing arboricultural care for clients by safely leading operations using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems. Execute assigned tasks including pruning, thinning, removing deadwood, and installing cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems. Mentor crew members through the Davey Career Development Program while maintaining, preparing, and operating chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts. Operate as part of a crew with supporting Groundmen and Trimmer/Climber to perform all required functions. Lead work adhering to the Jobsite Hazards, Obstacles, Plan, Equipment (H.O.P.E) process.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Driver's license
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
- Up to 25% travel
Desired Qualifications
- Commercial driver's license
- Love of the outdoors
- Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates
- ISA Certified Arborist
- ISA Certified Tree Worker
- TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional
