Job Summary
Supervise bridge crews in heavy highway construction by setting form work, managing pile driving, and drilling shafts while planning production and safety. Review construction plans to verify design specifications and assist project management in ensuring work meets project standards. Maintain accurate reporting of materials used and time logging for the crew. Requires five to seven years of experience managing bridge carpenters, laborers, and pile drivers, with the ability to read blueprints and oversee full bridge construction. Role involves working ten hours daily, five to six days a week, outdoors in Florida heat and rain near heavy traffic.
Required Qualifications
- five to seven years experience in managing a crew of bridge carpenters, laborers and pile drivers in a heavy highway/bridge construction environment
- read blue prints
- hands-on knowledge of every aspect of bridge construction
- excellent supervisory and communication skills
- ability to oversee the entire construction of bridges from start to finish
- work on average ten (10) hours per day, five days (and occasionally six days) per week
- work outdoors in Florida heat and rain
- work around heavy highway traffic areas
