Job Summary
Foreman A leads a vegetation-management crew, enforcing safety, scheduling and assigning work, maintaining records, and training crew members. Responsibilities include communicating with customers about project issues, leading pruning (natural and directional) techniques, coordinating and inspecting crew performance, participating in storm restoration efforts, and ensuring adherence to the Line Clearance Contract. The role requires strong leadership and communication, ability to read/write and communicate in English, practical knowledge of PPE and equipment maintenance, and willingness to travel. A high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license are required; CDL is strongly preferred. Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus. The position is based in Moraine, OH, and involves working outdoors, potential overtime, and physical labor; safety-consciousness and effective teamwork are essential.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years previous experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Able to read/write and communicate effectively in English
- Valid driver’s license
- Commercial Driver’s License strongly preferred
- Able to travel long distances on short notice
- Able to work for extended periods in various locations
- Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs
- Willing to work over-time when requested
- Must be safety conscious
- Must have excellent communication and people skills
- Must have broad knowledge of all climbing skills and all other technical aspects (mechanical and manual) of electrical line clearance operations
- Possess broad knowledge of all pruning techniques (natural and directional pruning)
- Must have proven skills through job performance as a top climber (CA)
- Working knowledge of all equipment and tools used on crews and know how to operate the equipment in the most efficient manner
- Must have excellent leadership skills
- High emphasis on safety rules and company policies
