Job Summary
Non-US Accredited Foreign Graduate – International Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health under direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist to complete required US internship hours and progress toward pharmacist licensure. Role focuses on patient safety, regulatory compliance, and delivery of high-quality customer and patient care in a retail pharmacy setting, including counseling, workflow management, inventory control, immunization preparation and delivery (where allowed), and leadership of Pharmacy Support Staff. Responsibilities span customer service, adherence to HIPAA and CVS SOPs, translation of SIG codes for prescriptions, and supporting the pharmacy team to meet state and federal licensure timelines while developing clinical and operational competencies.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Doctorate (PharmD) or equivalent Pharmacist degree from a Non-US accredited school of pharmacy
- Pharmacist licensure in the state within 120 days of completing US Intern hours
- Eligible to complete US Intern hours within 18 months
- Ability to pass required Pharmacist licensure processes within 120 days post-intern hours
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Licensure compliance with HIPAA and CVS SOPs
- Immunization responsibilities (after regulations met)
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally and up to 10 lbs frequently
