Job Summary
Foreclosure Paralegal for a direct-hire role supporting a Foreclosure Manager and Attorneys in a primarily on-site office. Responsibilities include providing administrative support, handling client and borrower communications, conducting investigations and research, locating and developing case-relevant information, drafting and filing basic legal documents and correspondence, managing phone calls, maintaining contact lists, monitoring deadlines, and navigating multiple calendars. Requires experience in paralegal duties, familiarity with foreclosure procedures (MA offshore experience a plus), case management software proficiency, strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure, and proficiency with PACER and SCRA. On-site position with potential remote flexibility for qualified candidates; travel to or liaison with courts as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 1 - 3 years of Paralegal experience
- Experience with MA foreclosure is ideal
- Familiarity with law, legal procedures and protocols, and court system
- Satisfactory knowledge of day-to-day operations of a legal office
- Working knowledge of case management software
- Excellent secretarial and organizational skills
- Ability to juggle multiple activities and work under pressure
- Prefer experience in BKFS; TEMPO; ADR; DRA
- Proficient in running PACER and SCRA
- Communicate with clients and borrowers, and the Courts
- File pleadings with the Courts
- Must be able to speak and hear, lift and carry up to twenty-five pounds (25 lbs.) or occasionally more
- May be required to drive for business purposes and must hold a valid driver’s license in good standing and maintain personal auto insurance in compliance with local or state requirements
