Job Summary
Forecasting Manager for Basic catalog and Novelty/POSM lines, accountable for forecast performance and continuous improvement, collaborating with Brand teams, marketing, and sales. Manages basic forecasts via model management (including machine-learning based forecasting), sell-in/sell-out analysis (rolling 18 months), and maintenance of item master data. Leads launches/animations forecast parameters with marketing and sales, trains marketing & sales newcomers on forecast deadlines, and leads monthly S&OP demand-review sessions. Partners with internal teams and external retailers to drive forecast accuracy, benchmarks NAM performance, and leads forecasting process improvements and tool enhancements. Requires a Bachelor’s (Master’s a plus) in a quantitative field, 3–5 years of forecast experience, strong data analytics, Excel and Power BI proficiency, ERP/MRP forecasting system experience, and strong communication/leadership across departments; located in NYC (Manhattan Madison Avenue offices); salary range $110,000–$125,000 per year.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Data Management, or related quantitative field. Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Data Management, or a related quantitative field is a plus.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years sell in forecast experience, preferably for a company that supplies goods to major US Department stores, or solid training in this area
- Very strong analytical skills (Data crunch, Automation of analysis, Reporting and data synthesis) and ability to translate complex analytical insights into clear business recommendations
- Excellent communication & leadership skills with all departments, management levels & France. Ability to influence without authority and to engage senior stakeholders through structured, fact-based reasoning
- Expert-level proficiency in Excel and Power BI
- Proficiency in using ERP/MRP systems and forecasting system (Machine learning type) is preferred
- Fluency or working knowledge of French is nice to have
- Deals with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment
