Job Summary
Direct and oversee daily operations of the Ford of Helena Parts Department, managing hiring, training, scheduling, and performance expectations for all employees. Maintain accurate, stocked inventory through daily ordering, receiving, cycle counts, and physical inventories while minimizing obsolescence and protecting assets from loss. Manage departmental financial performance by monitoring sales, gross profit, expenses, and key performance indicators to meet established goals and budgets. Ensure timely parts delivery to technicians and service advisors, coordinate with Sales and Service leadership, and handle retail and wholesale customer inquiries and orders. Comply with Ford Motor Company programs, policies, and safety standards while maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
Required Qualifications
- Automotive parts, dealership, or comparable inventory-management experience
- Strong understanding of inventory control and parts operations
- Ability to read and understand departmental financial and operational reports
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced dealership environment
- Strong computer and dealership management system skills
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
Desired Qualifications
- Previous supervisory or management experience
- Previous Ford dealership Parts Department experience
- Previous Parts Manager or Assistant Parts Manager experience
- Experience with Ford parts systems, cataloging, and manufacturer programs
- Experience managing wholesale parts operations
- Familiarity with dealership DMS and inventory-management systems
