Job Summary
Greet customers promptly, handle merchandise with care, and provide product demonstrations while replenishing shelves per guidelines. Act as a product expert by maintaining knowledge through training, tracking advertised sales and pricing, and assisting with seasonal floor moves. Identify customer needs to make targeted recommendations, promote CLUB Membership and In-Store Pick-up programs, and ensure the work area remains clean and stocked. Operate the Point of Sale register, calculate discounts, and maintain friendly working relationships with all stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent experience
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change to customers
- Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to our customers and other associates
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Management, coworkers and customers
- Ability to operate computerized Point of Sale register system
- Must be able to constantly stand and/or walk during shift
- Must be able to occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, etc.
- Must be able to constantly communicate with others to exchange information
- Must be able to occasionally repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
- Must be able to occasionally operate machinery and/or power tools
- Must be able to occasionally operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment
- Must be able to light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds constantly
- Must be able to occasionally move and lift objects up to 100 pounds or more (utilizing a team lift as needed)
- Must be able to occasionally work in tight and confined spaces
- Must be able to occasionally work in noisy environments
- Must be able to perform tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation
- Must be able to choose from limited alternatives to resolve problems
- Must be able to make recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices
