Job Summary
Set up and test DVSport equipment and stadium infrastructure, coordinate video feed acquisition with broadcast partners, and document system checks in a formal Set Day Report. Perform final live-environment pre-game checks, proactively monitor solutions during games to ensure 100% uptime, and oversee secure teardown and storage of equipment. Assist with targeted hardware repairs and participate in field-testing new technologies. Provide technical coverage for non-standard events including Spring games, Fall scrimmages, and postseason matchups. This onsite technical anchor role bridges broadcast production and officiating decisions for the Big Ten Conference.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in broadcast engineering, AV systems, or IT networking
- Understanding of video signal flow (SDI, IP, HDMI)
- Understanding of basic networking protocols
- Must be available for both Set Day and Game Day for the entire home schedule
- Ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor and solve technical fires in a fast-paced, live broadcast environment
- Strong interpersonal skills to navigate various stakeholders, from broadcast directors to conference officials
