Job Summary
Asst. Coach for the Freshman Football program at Wakefield Memorial High School for the 2026 Fall season. The role requires MIAA/FNFHS coaching certification and varsity coaching experience, along with CPR/First Aid. The coach will develop athletes, lead a program toward sustained success, enforce discipline and sportsmanship, stay updated with required training, participate in athletic-program meetings, foster an encouraging environment for student-athletes, and adhere to schedules and league medical rules.
Required Qualifications
- MIAA Certified Coach
- NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching
- Varsity Coaching Experience
- Football Background (playing or coaching)
- Excellent communication skills
- Passion and energy to promote Educational Athletics
- CPR / First Aid Certifications
- Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Coaches individual participants in basic and advanced skills necessary for maximum individual achievement within the team setting.
- Attends regular coaches meetings organized by the Athletic Director to discuss the expectations and guidelines of the Athletic Program.
- Creates an environment where students are supported and encouraged to participate in the athletics program.
- Adheres to practice schedules, student practice rules and medical compliance as required by the league.
