Job Summary
Execute football program duties including demonstrating drills, supervising workouts, and managing administrative tasks. Coordinate with the Head Coach to implement strategies, prepare venues for games and practices, and oversee team fundraisers. Monitor athlete behavior, attendance, and academic status while communicating schedules and policies to student-athletes and parents. Represent the Athletic Department at Region and State selection meetings as assigned. Ensure compliance with team rules and policies through corrective assistance when necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds of force frequently and up to 25 pounds of force occasionally
- Must be able to sit, speak, hear, use hands to finger/handle/feel, perform repetitive motions, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms
- Must have standard vision
- Must have hearing to perceive information at normal spoken word levels
- Must be able to prepare and analyze written or computer data
- Must be able to operate machines
- Must be able to observe general surroundings and activities
- Must be able to work in outdoor weather conditions
- Must be able to occasionally be exposed to bloodborne pathogens
- Must be able to wear specialized personal protective equipment
- Must be able to work in a moderately noisy location
- Must be able to make occasional visits to off-site locations
- Must be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Must demonstrate professionalism and foster a positive environment
- Must have knowledge of athletic program regulations
- Must be able to operate division-owned/leased motor vehicles
- Must have an acceptable driving record in accordance with the provisions of the Dinwiddie County School Board's policy manual
- Must successfully undergo Tuberculosis Screening
- Must successfully undergo Child Protective Services (CPS) Investigation
- Must successfully undergo State Police Criminal History Investigation
- Must successfully undergo Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)/National Criminal History Investigative Search
