Foot Care Nurse (Southwold/Oneida)

Job Summary
Conduct foot care assessments and re-assessments per College standards, developing individualized treatment plans and documenting progress in the facility's health record system. Maintain approved cleaning and sterilization techniques for all instrumentation while adhering to infection control guidelines from regulatory bodies. Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to suggest applicable treatments and ensure interventions follow best practices. Provide specialized nursing procedures to residents based on client needs and completed assessments. This Registered Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse role requires basic or advanced Footcare Certification, Professional License Insurance, and own tools. A current police check and TB immunization record are mandatory, with Long Term Care experience being an asset.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse providing nursing foot care services in good standing with his/her respective regulatory body - CNO
- basic and/or advanced Footcare Certification
- Professional License Insurance
- own tools/cleaning supplies
- Excellent interpersonal and listening skills while interacting with residents or their families
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A current police check for the Vulnerable Sector
- TB Immunization Record
