Job Summary
Foot & Ankle Orthopedic Physician Assistant providing postoperative management, established and new patient evaluations, and acute walk-in visits within a high-volume outpatient orthopedic group. Collaborates with a supervising orthopedic physician to support a busy practice of 9 physicians, 6 APPs, and 2-3 medical assistants. Structured onboarding including system orientation, Epic training, shadowing, and progressive independence from postoperative to new-patient care as competency grows. Daytime call shared among PAs. Typical daily patient volume 20-25 in an 80-90% outpatient setting with a mix of post-op, established, new, and acute visits. Strong emphasis on clinician skills, patient rapport, documentation, time management, and coordination of care in a patient-centered, evidence-based orthopedic program.
Required Qualifications
- New graduates accepted
- orthopedic experience preferred but not required
- Ability to function efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical environment
- Strong skills in clinical assessment, documentation, time management, and care coordination
- Commitment to providing patient-centered, evidence-based orthopedic care
