Job Summary
Foot and Ankle Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant role providing medical care delegated by a physician with a clinic schedule of 2 days/week plus administrative time. Handles outpatient foot and ankle phone calls, participates in surgeries in the operating room, and supports hospital rounds with after-hours and weekend coverage. Eligible for stipend and productivity-based bonuses. Requires experience or willingness to train in orthopaedics; knowledge of acute and chronic care protocols, med administration, and patient education; strong collaboration with the health care team.
Required Qualifications
- Current state PA license
- Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- CPR and ACLS Certification
- Graduate of AMA-accredited Physician Assistant program
- Active or scheduled NCCPA Certification (Physician Assistant track)
- BA/BS, MS preferred (Physician Assistant track)
- Arizona license for Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (Nurse Practitioner track)
- AORN Standards for RN First Assist education programs as a standalone program or as part of a graduate/postgraduate program (NP role in OR)
