Job Summary
Present and sell local, artisanal, specialty food items to cheesemongers, culinarians, and chefs. Cultivate relationships with artisan manufacturers to introduce new specialty items. Manage inherited customers and prospect new clients by conducting outside sales activities and visiting prospects to build lasting relationships. Schedule and manage customer visits for product demonstrations, solution discussions, and sales closures. Identify and resolve client concerns while participating in marketing events like trade shows and tasting pairings. Determine product stock offerings through specialty food tastings. Be your own boss by managing your daily schedule to maximize territory impact and generate sales growth.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- 2–5 years of experience in the foodservice industry
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule as needed
