Job Summary
Food Services Lead responsible for senior-level leadership and hands-on duties in the dining facility, including assisting with food preparation, setup, service, delivery of meals, and cleanup. Lead and train staff, participate in opening/closing procedures, and ensure adherence to food service practices. Requires reading/writing English, reliable performance, and ability to train and lead others; may require a valid driver's license for certain assignments. Elkridge, MD location(s) on campus.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of food service experience in a healthcare setting
- ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to follow instructions
- demonstrated basic knowledge of food service practices and procedures (e.g., portion control, short order cooking, sanitation)
- knowledge of operation of equipment used in food service
- strong interpersonal skills for training and orienting new staff
- capacity to train and lead others
- valid driver's license and ability to comply with hospital vehicle requirements when applicable
