Job Summary
Food Services Representative supports the preparation, service, and sanitation of meals to ensure nutritious food in a clean, safe kitchen environment. Responsibilities include preparing, serving, storing meals; cleaning and maintaining kitchen areas and equipment; operating commercial kitchen equipment; stocking supplies and monitoring inventory; following recipes and nutrition guidelines; maintaining food safety logs; providing professional service and teamwork; reporting safety or equipment issues; and supporting events with occasional evenings, early mornings, or weekends as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 1 + years of cooking experience
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment
- Knowledge of kitchen safety protocols, food temperature requirements, kitchen appliances, equipment, and tools
- Microsoft Office 365 – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Google Suite, Apple Products
- Completion of food safety or sanitation training (e.g., ServSafe or equivalent), preferred
- Experience working in a commercial or institutional kitchen (e.g., school, healthcare, childcare, or cafeteria setting)
- Experience following food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards (e.g., ServSafe-aligned practices)
- Experience operating commercial kitchen equipment (e.g., ovens, slicers, dishwashers)
- PIC Serv Safe Certification, preferred
- Active State Board of Education Rapback Enrollment, preferred
- Allergen Awareness Training or Certification, preferred
- CPR and First Aid Certification, preferred
